Sulaimanya, Iraq – Asiacell, a leading provider of quality mobile telecommunications services in Iraq, with 10.5 million subscribers as at the end of 2013, announced its participation and support for BYND2015 Global Youth Summit which is an initiative of International telecommunication Union (ITU), the specialized agency of the United Nations. Some 500 youth from around the world will converge on San José, Costa Rica, for the Global Youth Summit that will take place, 9-11 September 2013.
The summit is led by young people around the world to assess and discuss the key concerns of young people in the post-2015 era. With the 2015 deadline to achieve the Millennium Development Goals drawing near, global leaders are preparing to review the process and prepare for future development priorities.
“Asiacell delegation comprised in 4 persons and will represent Iraq in the summit where it’s expected to convey the ideas of Iraqi youth to the world” said abdulla Hassan, Asiacell public relations head.
