Amman, November 2013 - Nokia showcased the latest additions to its Nokia Lumia smartphone range during a press conference held on Tuesday 12th November, 2013, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman. Attended by media representatives, the press conference exhibited the Nokia Lumia 1020 which has set a new benchmark in smartphone imaging, in addition to the Nokia Lumia 925 which features an attractive design and introduces Nokia’s latest PureView camera innovations.
During the press conference, the attendees got the chance to learn first hand about both smartphones’ unique features. The Nokia Lumia 1020 produces some of the sharpest images possible by any digital camera, thanks to Nokia’s innovative PureView technology, a second-generation 41 megapixel sensor, ZEISS optics with six lenses and optical image stabilization – allowing consumers to capture, edit and share photos and videos of professional quality. Its unique dual capture feature simultaneously takes high resolution 38 megapixel images with endless editing opportunities and creates a 5 megapixel picture that is easy to share on social networks via Windows Phone 8. Delivering crystal-clear pictures even in low-light conditions, the Nokia Lumia 1020 also captures blur-free videos with stereo sound thanks to Nokia’s Rich Recording technology.
The Nokia Lumia 925 captures the best low-light images and clearer, sharper videos with the help of highly advanced lens technologies. With an aluminum frame around the 4.5 inch display, the Nokia Lumia 925 offers unique benefits such as increased robustness, and its polycarbonate back comes in white, grey or black.
“The new additions are perfect examples of our focus on innovation and delivering truly compelling smartphone experiences to our consumers. The Nokia 1020 marks a giant leap forward in smartphone photography, while with the Nokia Lumia 925, we have introduced metal accents to the Lumia range in a sleek, light weight design that consumers will love, along with enhanced imaging capabilities – both reiterating Nokia’s commitment to advance experiences on the Nokia Lumia portfolio,” said Alaa Remayyed, General Manager for Nokia Levant.
