Amman, November 2014 - Microsoft North Africa, East Mediterranean and Pakistan (NEPA) invited 100 of its sales and marketing employees throughout the region to a seven-day training event at the Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa at the Dead Sea. The event was attended by Microsoft NEPA General Manager Leila Serhan and Microsoft Jordan Country Manager Hussein Malhas, in addition to all Microsoft general managers from across the NEPA region.
The annual event tackled the Company’s plans for its fiscal year, which began in July 2014 and will end in June 2015. It also presented the latest Microsoft technologies such as Windows Phone Store, Windows Azure, Windows 8.1, Office 365, and many more, and touched on their importance for and impact on regional markets.
The event aims to unify Microsoft’s vision and goals across the NEPA region, encourage positive engagement, and share success stories that inspire employees. The workshop consisted of multiple training courses and discussion sessions on professional development, as well as on balancing work and personal life, among other related topics.
“The reason behind organizing this event was to support our employees to grow on both the professional and personal levels. The workshop also instills in all NEPA Microsoft staff a sense of belonging and gives them an understanding of where we are heading as a Company, all of which will help us cement our leading market standing,” commented Serhan.
In turn, Malhas added, “The event is part of Microsoft Jordan’s strategy to encourage the Company’s management and employees to communicate with one another more freely. Held in Jordan for the second time, this workshop is a great way to motivate our them to keep up the pace, thus helping us maintain our successful track record.”
