Amman -As part of its efforts to continuously pioneer the introduction of premium services and solutions, Umniah launched an innovative Online Learning Gateway, dubbed ULearn, which offers specialized courses through web and mobile based platforms. The Gateway was announced during a media roundtable, held on 4th December, 2011, at the Company's headquarters.
The introduction of the Online Learning Gateway stems from Umniah's ongoing efforts to support students and fresh-graduates by providing support courses to individuals and businesses alike. Umniah will be offering these courses through special ULearn cards that have been tailor-made for this service. Umniah subscribers will be able to get these cards alongside a multitude of other Umniah services such as Internet subscriptions, Prepaid Ana Shabab GSM lines and by redeeming points from Umniah's pointing program. The Gateway is launched in collaboration with Knowledge Horizon, who are specialized in providing training programs..
In its first phase, the Umniah ULearn Gateway will include courses in many disciplines such as Strategic Marketing, Human Resource Planning, Decision Making in addition to leadership skills, strategic planning and a number of related topics. These courses will be available in both Arabic and English languages and will be supported by videos and recorded lectures from experts in the fields. Users will receive certificates after completing these courses that will enrich their CVs.
As the Gateway progresses, Umniah will continuously look for opportunities to expand existing e-learning content to include language courses and specialized information technology courses.
CEO of Umniah, Ihab Hinnawi, stated how delighted he was at the launch of the Gateway and explained that it reflects the Company's belonging to education, technology and youth. "The Online Learning Gateway is an important service that strives to encourage education and promote the Internet as an accessible, modern and easy learning tool. The courses on offer will enable students, fresh-graduates and job-seekers to develop their basic skills and boost their confidence in their abilities, which will in turn broaden their horizons and open doors to potential career opportunities," Hinnawi added.
In turn, Inas Shaheen, Public Relations Manager at Knowledge Horizon commented, "We are proud to be partnering with Umniah for the launch of the ULearn Gateway. It is an important initiative that aims to benefit community members and provides them with an opportunity to create a better future for themselves, on both a personal and a professional level.
