Leatherhead, 11 December, 2011: AIRCOM International, the leading independent network planning and optimisation solutions provider today announced that Etisalat Afghanistan has selected its consultancy services to further enhance its network performance. AIRCOM will complete an end-to-end network and site audit to help Etisalat Afghanistan, already one of the fastest growing networks in Afghanistan, meet its goal of having the best quality network in the region.

AIRCOM will comprehensively examine Etisalat Afghanistan’s network performance and ways to optimise it, assessing its radio access network, transmission network, circuit switching core, billing system and packet switching core. Etisalat Afghanistan’s physical sites will also be examined. The result will be a comprehensive report, including detailed recommendations, to ensure Etisalat Afghanistan delivers its customers the best experience possible.

Yacine Atroune, VP, Network Operations at Etisalat Afghanistan comments, “AIRCOM is a key partner in helping Etisalat Afghanistan to deliver the best quality of service to our customers. The end-to-end network and site audit will ensure that this high quality is maintained in the long-term.”

“AIRCOM’s consulting services harness industry best practice from around the world and are delivered with the regional market conditions in mind. As we support multi-vendor, multi-technology networks through our I-VIEW framework, we are able to radically enhance our customer’s business and project objectives. We are looking forward to helping Etisalat Afghanistan to take advantage of this to not only better utilise its existing network assets but also identify where to make investments for the future,” says Alwyn Welch, CEO, AIRCOM International.

This contract follows the contract award for AIRCOM’s OPTIMA for multi-vendor network performance management in June 2011. Etisalat Afghanistan also uses AIRCOM’s ASSET planning product and its RANOPT product for measurement post processing to drive network performance best practice.
