CABSAT, Dubai, UAE, 1st March 2012: Yahsat has today announced that its satellite broadband service, YahClick, is to offer a new transportable terminal service called YahClick Go, which has been designed to allow broadband connectivity virtually anywhere in YahClick's coverage range.
The new service, which has been launched at CABSAT, the Middle East's largest digital media & satellite expo, has been established to meet the demand of organizations and businesses operating in sectors such as media and journalism, oil and gas; government and NGOs, that require Internet connectivity even in the remotest locations.
Yahsat CEO, Tareq Abdul Raheem Al Hosani, commented: "YahClick Go is a great addition to our YahClick business, which will officially commence this year with the launch of our second satellite Y1B in April.
"Once operational, YahClick will deliver reliable and affordable broadband by satellite; helping to transform communities, organizations and companies in some of the world's most underserved regions. The addition of our YahClick Go service will allow a variety of customers with instant and transportable internet connectivity; adding a new dimension to what is already a fantastic proposition," he concluded.
YahClick Go's cost effective user terminals allow instant Internet access via an auto pointing antenna, which is easily mountable on vehicles and can be operated by a single user.
By using the high bandwidth Ka band frequency, rather the L band Ku band, users of YahClick Go will be able to achieve high speeds to uplink and downlink increasingly large files and video content, where existing L-band technology cannot deliver this, and existing Ku band supply increasingly less able to meet demand.
YahClick is a breakthrough satellite broadband service for users in the Middle East, Africa and South West Asia. With YahClick, customers are offered uninterrupted high-speed internet usage from the moment they go live with the launch of the second satellite, YahSat 1B.The Yahsat 1B satellite uses state of the art Ka band multi spot-beam technology, achieving cost-effective bandwidth supply.
Yahsat is exhibiting at CABSAT 2012 at booths S-D1.
