Nawras is setting a new standard for telecoms in the Sultanate with the unveiling of its new concept flagship store on the ground floor of Muscat Grand Mall. The vibrant new store is a one stop shop for all communications needs, providing handsets, devices, SIM cards, recharge and payment options as well as specialised services for the home and office. The colourful, lively design brings the brand to life with an interactive style designed to provide an unforgettable customer experience.

In a special opening offer until 31 December, new postpaid customers can take advantage of choosing a special number like 9788XYXY for just two Omani Rials. This offer is exclusive to the new Nawras store.

After a countdown to 12 minutes past 12 o'clock on 12-12-12, Ross Cormack, Nawras Chief Executive Officer, unveiled the exciting interior and said, "Our flagship store introduces a new energetic retail environment showcasing the fun and innovation we are offering as well as a dedicated business area. The dynamic and interactive displays invite customers to play games, surf the web or experiment with the latest products. Our Brand Ambassadors make this store all the more special and give customers a unique experience."

He added, "With a focus on simplicity and efficiency, we are able to offer an unmatched customer experience that caters for every communications need. This flagship store is an entirely new concept that we are pioneering for the first time in the Sultanate and it is designed to show how Nawras is doing more to delight and inspire customers."

The enriching customer experience begins at the entrance, passing through an eye-catching colour changing shop front and LED lit arch. Customers are greeted by a Brand Ambassador who will welcome them, learn of their requirements and direct them to the appropriate zone or sales pod where an expert Sales Champion will assist. The layout is thoughtfully planned to limit waiting time and provide fast, efficient and personal service.

Inside the spacious store, the bright LED lights bring the brand to life with millions of different colour combinations to excite and delight customers. Illuminated 'What's New' boards display the latest offers, promotions and hottest handsets and products. The 'zonal' approach such as 'Fun & Social' and 'On the Go', helps customers identify exactly where to find the product they are interested in while showcasing the wide range of great value offers from Nawras. By combining modern technology with traditional Omani patterns, customers can immerse themselves in a unique new retail environment that reinforces the heritage of the country and vision of Nawras.

The centrepiece of the store is the huge electronic multi-touch table. Touchscreen displays allow customers to browse the internet and explore an interactive catalogue demonstrating the features and benefits of Nawras products and services. The store also offers a free WiFi zone and invites customers to browse the internet using their own device or any of the latest Apple MacBooks provided.

Visiting the 'At Home' zone, complete with its large screen television and video games consoles, customers will experience Nawras Home Voice and Broadband services in a realistic setting. Interactive displays around the store provide hands on experience for customers to feel the speed of the newly turbocharged Nawras network and test handsets and devices before purchasing them.

A dedicated in store 'Business Lounge' is also a first for the entire Qtel Group. A Business Champion will assist customers in managing their company account and will activate new products for any sized organisation, in another first for the latest Nawras store. A dedicated private meeting room offers corporate customers a confidential area to discuss their account and options to enhance their business communications.

Two self service machines inside the store provide convenient bill payment options, while an additional machine in the foyer allows customers to pay for their service outside of business hours. In addition, five in store service 'pods' including one dedicated for ladies, serve and support customers with all aspects of their communication experience.

The new flagship store is open from 10am until 10pm every day except Friday when it will operate from 2pm until 10pm.

Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company SAOG was founded and registered in the Sultanate of Oman in December 2004. It launched its service in March 2005 as the second mobile operator in Oman operating under the name "Nawras". Nawras was awarded the second fixed licence in Oman in 2009, and launched its international gateway in April 2010, its corporate fixed and broadband services in May 2010, and its residential fixed and broadband services in June 2010.
